Update: for the time being we've stopped renting the annexe as other use during the week has picked up. If things change then we'll certainly be putting the lovely annexe back on the market via AirBnB.
Gorge View Cottage has a smaller sibling! Gorge View Annexe ("the annexe") is a self-contained space at the back of our house that we have just finished getting ready for holiday rental. Not as perfect as the cottage or as fully equipped, it is a lovely airy space with a living room-cum-kitchen area downstairs, fully kitted out, and a bedroom and bathroom (well shower room really) upstairs. The bedroom also gets those glorious views to the gorge whilst the living room looks over our garden.
The annexe is only going to be available for weekends (2 or 3 day stays), and for now is only bookable either directly with us, or through AirBnB. AirBnB will of course add their own charges for the additional service they provide and we don't mind which route you use. Availability can be checked on the AirBnB website.
The cottage remains the premium characterful fully-detached eco-cottage it is, with log burning stove, and lots of extra detail. The annexe provides a simpler but still lovely place to stay at a better price. We hope the new space will in time prove just as popular to visitors to Cheddar, the gorge and the wonderful Mendip Hills.
