Cheddar has most of the shops and facilities you will need. Either up and around the Gorge, or down in the main village.
Newly opened (replacing the previous Budgens) this is a mid0range store with almost everything you need, including a fair Sainsbury Organic (SO) range.
A small but well stocked convenience store, very convenient to Gorge View Cottage - just 5 minutes walk, if that, cutting through West Lynne to the Tweentown service station. We get our organic milk from there - sourced from the organic herd at Bruton.
A reasonable store at the Shell garage on the Axbridge side of the village. This is where you can get logs during winter.
The Gorge has a number of specialists shops including:
We have some great farmer's markets selling the best of local produce. Always busy and bustling. And often in wonderful market square settings.
